Find out how this cosmetic procedure can effectively target wrinkles and facial lines.

Everyone is looking for different ways to improve their appearance. If wrinkles and lines have gotten the better of you then you may be wrinklesconsidering your treatment options. Your Nampa dermatologists Dr. Ryan Owsley and Dr. Thad Wilkey may have the cosmetic treatment you’ve been looking for.

What is Perlane®?

Perlane is made up of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, and is injected into the skin using very thin needles to help increase volume and elasticity in the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds.

What skin problems will this treatment address?

If you are looking to reduce the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds then getting Perlane® from your Nampa skin doctor may be exactly the right treatment for you. One of the most common wrinkles these injections treat are the lines around the corners of the mouth (“marionette lines”).

Will getting Perlane® hurt?

The needles used are ultra fine so you shouldn’t feel much discomfort. But if you are concerned about any pain you may experience we would be happy to talk to you about certain numbing medications we can use beforehand.

When will I notice my results?

You should be able to see your results immediately after your injections. Now you don’t have to wait days for your results like you would with other dermal fillers.

Are there any side effects to treatment?

After these injections, you may experience some redness, bruising, pain and tenderness in the areas where you received Perlane®. Side effects are typically mild and usually go away in a week.

How long will my results last?

On average, your results should last about six months. You can also continue getting subsequent treatments to maintain your more youthful appearance.

Who shouldn’t get Perlane®?

Patients who have bleeding disorders, as well as those who have severe allergies to certain medications that have required hospitalized care should not get Perlane®. Talk to us to find out if you are healthy enough for this cosmetic treatment.
